2003-2007 Kawasaki Ninja ZX6R/RR HID Installation
Tools needed: Drill Bits Allen key Dremil
Take off the inner cowling covers on both sides.
Take off the dust cover from the head light on both sides.

Head light dust cover.

Use dremil and make a round hole in the middle for rubber grommet.
This is how the bulbs come in the kit.
Close up of the power wires that feed the ballast, which you will need to take out.
Bulb with the power wires out. Make sure you pull it down by the big plug while holding the rubber grommet.
Close up of the power wires pulled out of the rubber gormet.
Drop the wires from the bulb through the hole now made in the dust cover.
Push the rubber grommet in the hole in the dust cover.
If installed properly, this is how the grommet should cover the hole that you made on the inside.
If installed properly, this is how the grommet should cover the hole that you made on the outside.
Take the power plug that you pulled out of the grommet and force the wires back in, one by one.
One bulb prepped for installation.
Both bulbs ready for installation.
Take off the power plug from the original bulb
Take out the original bulb and install the HID bulb. Be careful, do not touch the HID bulb at any time.
Plug in the power wires into the original power plug. They go in easy and slide right in. Black wire connects into the black wire on the plug. On the right side, pink goes to red. On the left side, blue goes to red as these are positive wires.
Pull the wires toward you slowly and carefully as you near the cover toward the headlight. Spin the rubber grommet if you need to line up the dust cover to the head light. Now lock it in. The arrow should point up if it is locked in properly.
Left side installed the same way as the right.
Mount the ballasts on the under side of the cowling covers with two nuts and bolts. Position the ballast in the proper place. Then, hold in one spot while drilling two holes for the bolts. An alternate mounting may be with industrial double sided tape or industrial Velcro. Do not use those cheap double sided tape of Velcro mounts as they will not hold the weight of the ballasts.
Close up of underside of the cowling cover with ballast installed.
Top side of the cowling cover.
Repeat installation on the second cowling. Then reinstall on the bike, connecting all the plug wires.
Installed and ready to use HID's. Make sure to change the fuse for the headlights from 10A to 25A. This will prevent the fuse from blowing in the future. Most people have both lights on at the same time, this will support the initial surge of power that the ballasts use to ignite.

2005 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R/RR Adjustable Foot Controls P.N. 313110G/B Installation Instructions:
Additional parts required: Rear brake line (Goodridge USA part # SP-7757-001 for Attack ZX6/ZX6RR) Available exclusively from Attack Performance. NOTE: The stock brake line is too short to allow the full range of adjustment of the foot peg. It will be necessary to replace the stock rear brake line with the part # listed above, or similar. 1) 2) 3) 4) 5) 6) Proceed to the right side of the motorcycle. Remove the stock brake line from the rear brake master cylinder and the rear brake caliper. Remove the clevis pin attaching the rear brake master cylinder to the brake lever. Remove the rear brake master cylinder and let it hang free. Unplug the rear brake light switch from the harness and remove the right foot control assembly. Mount the right foot control assembly supplied in the kit to the frame using the stock screws. Mount the rear brake master cylinder to the inside of the foot control assembly using the stock fasteners. When using the heel guard, use the included 8x1.25x30 button head screws, and mount the heel guard to the outside of the foot control assembly. Attach the brake master to the brake lever using the stock clevis pin. Install the new brake line and bleed the brake system.
NOTE: Depending on the position of the foot peg, it may be necessary to trim the heat shield and the fluid reservoir hose. 9) 10) 11) 12) Proceed to the left side of the motorcycle and remove the stock shift rod by loosening the jam nuts and unscrewing it from the shift lever. Remove the stock left foot control assembly. Install the left foot control assembly supplied in the kit with the stock mounting screws. Remove the shift shaft arm from the shift shaft and grind off the back of the rivet that secures the stock rod end (Heim joint). Press the stock rod end out and install the supplied female rod end and the 9mm spacer with the included hardware. Install the shift shaft arm back onto the shift shaft in the stock position.
NOTE: For GP (reverse pattern) shifting, the shift shaft arm must be rotated 180 so the rod end (Heim joint) is in the UP position before continuing this installation procedure.

Depending on the preferred peg position, the shift arm at the engine may have to be rotated back or forward one spline position on the shaft. Adjust both peg brackets, brake and shift levers to suit your riding style. Optional length shift rods are available for individuals who prefer extreme peg positions. Double check all your fasteners. Now youre ready to ride.
This and all Attack Performance products should be installed only by a qualified service technician.
