CABLE CHANGE ADVICE

Use only new, high quality cable and compressionless cable housing with end caps.
Make sure the shifter cable is fully released (easiest (lowest) gear for front shifter or the hardest (highest) gear for rear shifter). Detach the cable from the derailleur. Cut the cable off 6" (15 cm) from the shifter barrel adjuster. Discard the old cable and cable housing.

CAUTION
Read all instructions for correct installation and use.
Slide shifter and brake lever onto handlebar. Either component can be mounted first, depending on personal preference.
Slide the handlebar grip onto the handlebar.
Never use lubricants or solvents to install handlebar grips. Handlebar grips provide an axial safety function. For this reason, they should be mounted in such a way as to make sure they do not slip off the handlebar.

Front shifters: X.0 / X-9
The shifter offers the following adjustments:

Shifter can be installed on handlebar inside and outside of brake. Clamp can be installed in two positions on shifter housing. Tighten the 5 mm hex clamp bolt to in.lbs. (2.Nm). Aluminum lever orientation is infinitely adjustable (only X.0).

MAINTENANCE ADVICE

Clean the shifter using only water and mild soap.
These shifters are nearly maintenance free. For any questions regarding methods of disassembly or maintenance, please contact your qualified local dealer.
Choose the best position for your ergonomic needs. Tighten the 5 mm hex clamp bolt to in.lbs. (2.Nm).

Feed the cable through the cable housing and stops. Make sure the shifter is in fully released position (lowest gear position (front shifter) or the highest gear number (rear shifter)). Attach the front/rear shifter cable to the front/rear derailleur. Adjust indexing per derailleur instructions.
Remove cover. Use pick to remove cable.
Feed the new cable through the cable entry and out of the barrel adjuster. Replace cover. Feed the cable through the new cable housing and cable stops. Attach the cable to the derailleur and adjust indexing per derailleur instructions.

The SIXFIFTY is modeled on our highly successful XCT Trail Bike design. The mp4 multi-link suspension design, like on the XCT, is optimized to shed weight, keep a low center of gravity and offer superb pedaling efficiency. It includes 10mm shock hardware for increased lateral & torsional stiffness and enhanced rear shock durability and performance. For 2011, the SixFifty main frame is updated with a 1 1/8 - 1.5 tapered head tube to keep the frame light while increasing stiffness and strength at the crown. The rear triangle of the 2011 SixFifty has been improved with our NEW mp4 linkage paired with shorter seatstays, asymmetrical chainstays, a 12mm x 135mm Maxle thru-axle for strength and stiffness, and post mounting for the rear brake caliper. The benefit of a 650B wheel size is that you get the BEST of both the 26 and 29 worlds without the negatives of each. 650B wheels offer almost all the lightweight, acceleration and flick-ability assets of a 26 wheel while delivering the great roll over attributes of a 29 wheel WITHOUT the weight penalty. Rock Shox Monarch RT rear suspension features a Floodgate dial to control pedaling efficiency and the Solo Air spring system with a single Schrader air valve to simultaneously fill both the positive and negative air chambers, simplifying suspension setup while retaining a lightweight and plush ride. White Brothers plush 130mm travel Fluid fork with linear air spring is dominating the 650B market at the moment. Featuring a 20mm thru-axle for stiffness and security, a full open oil bath damper, 32mm stanchions, a re-inforced steer tube and beefed-up crown. The Fluid offers air pressure, compression and rebound damping adjustability. SRAMS X.0 rear derailleur works as great as it looks thanks to SRAMs patented 1:1 actuation ratio and Direct Route technology. This is not only one of the lightest RDs on the market (192 grams) but thanks to intelligent engineering with carbon & aluminum, it is also one of the toughest. The X.0 10-speed shifters take the revolutionary performance of XX and combines it with the legendary reputation of X.0. The X.0s borrow the same XX technology such as X-Glide shifting, Exact Actuation, the X-Dome cassette and wide range 2x10 gearing. Avids new X.0 brakes feature forged aluminum calipers, lever body and lever blades. This is a do-it-all brake that is fully featured yet weighs only 333 grams. The Elixirs TaperBore technology eliminates the need for an independent reservoir, leading to a sleek and light integrated brake lever. American Classic wheels are light, responsive and are lusted over by many. At just over 1700 grams, their 650B wheels are lighter than many 26 wheelsets. The front hub is double sealed and features a 20mm axle and 17mm stainless steel bearings that resist fork flex. The rear hub features a 6 pawl, cam-actuated freehub engagement system that is specifically designed to handle the constant re-acceleration of XC racing and trail riding. Crank Brothers Joplin adjustable seat post offers up to 75mm of seat-dropping range, activated with a remote lever. Those who have ridden it, cant ride without it.
