Well got this camera almost a year ago, and it has taken some great shots. It is a fantastic outdoor camera. I got this camera as something small and easy to carry around in the pocket. It takes good pictures. Ibought this in favor of the newer SD870IS, as I wanted the optical finder, and I did not care for the cutesy controls on the 870.

Matushita FX07 to compare, although Canon IXUS 850 Has optics viewfinder and the manual control function. And stylish design. * 8.0 Megapixel. * Canon 3.8x optical zoom lens with Optical Image Stabilizer. * 28mm wide lens. * Huge 3.

Camera performed flawlessly for 1.5 years too great pictures and easy to use--- however after only 1.5 years. This camra performed very well overall. It has a compact design. It was easy enough to figure out.

This camera replaces a four year old Minolta and boy has a lot changed in four years. The camera has it all ... the different lighting scenarios. Strong start-up performance, crisp and clear images, nice modes and features, and an Image Stabilization feature.
