Great Camera! I bought this camera in part because it had the widest angle (28) in a still compact camera size. I only use the automatic functions.

If you have an E18 error, try this: hit the camera lens mount fairly hard into the palm of your hand. Bought this, had a canon G5 before it. What a dissapointment this has been. On the seventh day, the lens froze, and "E18" popped up on the LCD.

Canon A580 IS IS is a 10 million-pixel imaging have the capacity, and 4 optical zoom with Image Stabilizer lens for portable digital cameras. Advantages: the second generation of processor speed power quickly. Stability. Easy to carry pocket machine. The entire manual fun.

The wide angle lens is awesome in your pocket! I had to send mine back due to the lens door getting stuck but canon fixed it for free no problem.

Good, compact but not durable I have owned this camera for 4 years now. Pros - Beautiful landscapes. Great pictures.... Costly repair prices!!! I actually loved my S80. Its ok This camera compromises on a lot to fit it all in. Thus it does not do any one thing super well. But it does do many things.

I bought this camera to replace my sony T1 after it was stolen. It has replaced it well. The only thing i miss is the size of the T1.

STAY AWAY FROM CANON POWERSHOT PRODUCTS - I warn anyone against considering a purchase of any Canon Camera. (Edited March 02nd by arehaas) The camera has excellent controls and menu system. Intuitive controls, many modes including the manual mode.
