Samsung Packs Bluetooth 3.0 in GT-S8500

Bluetooth 3.0 is the latest version of the very popular connectivity option, especially popular when mobile phones are involved, and it seems that the standard has been finally included in one handset that should come to the market in the not too distant future. The handset in question is the Samsung GT-S8500, which has just been spotted on the website of the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG).

The Bluetooth 3.0 standard has been approved back in the second quarter of the last year, when Bluetooth SIG announced the formal adoption of the "Bluetooth Core Specification Version 3.0 High Speed (HS)," aka Bluetooth 3.0. What the new solution is expected to deliver to users includes transfer speeds of up to 24 Mbps, given the fact that the standard is based on the 802.11 radio protocol.
Thus, having Bluetooth 3.0 included in a device can translate into an enhanced experience when file transfers between two phones or a handsets and a computer are involved. And all these should soon become available to those who will purchase the upcoming Samsung GT-S8500, a compact and slim touchscreen device, it seems.

This display is anti-reflective and has High resolution, so it is suitable for outdoor activity with enhanced outdoors visibility. Considering the fact that the device comes from the South Korean handset maker, the presence of a high-resolution display is not something that surprises, but it comes as good news that the company decided to be among the first to include the new data transfer technology in a handset. There are no details available on when the S8500 mobile phone might land on the market, but we can hope that Samsung is set to bring it along at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona later this month.
