Choose your favorite of the seven colors for the LCD display, and Sony's CDX-CA810X CD receiver will look right at home in your dash! The detachable, fold-down faceplate features an extra-large readout that scrolls CD text and radio station names, and displays XM Satellite Radio information. If you're looking for a system-builder, then the CDX-CA810X is the receiver for you. It features front and rear stereo preamp outputs, with a mono subwoofer preamp output. High-pass filters let you block the deep bass frequencies that distort your speakers, while the low-pass filter routes all that bass to your subwoofers. Use the subwoofer level control to dampen or boost the bass from -10 to +10 dB. Focus and manipulate the acoustics in your vehicle. You can lift the musical "sweet spot" off the floorboard and up to the roof with the Dynamic Soundstage Organizer. Then tune the overall sound to your liking with EQ7's 7 bands of equalization and 7 preset tone curves. The CDX-CA810X has a 7-color, 13-segment positive LED display. You can select one of seven colors for the display background. All of the alphanumeric characters, level meters and icons are displayed in black. The display window is approximately 3-3/8" wide and 3/4" high. Sony's Dynamic Soundstage Organizer (DSO) uses proprietary circuitry to induce subtle phase shifts, simulating a sound source that is placed higher than the actual speakers in the vehicle. For example, when the DSO function is used in a vehicle equipped with speakers mounted low in the front doors, it creates virtual speakers in the dash to raise the soundstage. This unit offers three levels of DSO, each with a larger and higher soundstage. You can store the DSO setting for each source.
